Chinese hot pot for the discerning diner
Cebu has really upped its game in terms of dining.
Aside from Mott 32, another great Chinese restaurant that is now open at Nustar Hotel is Good Luck Hotpot. This is a high-end Chinese-style hot pot that is a fine example of Chinese extravagance.
Upon entering, you will immediately notice a stage at the main dining hall where performers in traditional Chinese attire sing and dance. You may opt to dine in the general section or to be secluded in the private rooms.

After tea is served, the Lazy Susan—which is automatic, by the way—is filled with your various orders.
For appetizers, the black fungus or what we call tenga ng daga is excellent, as is the jellyfish. Raw seafood is laid out beautifully on shaved ice. These include abalone, scallops and lobster. There is also a Good Luck Sashimi platter with tuna and salmon sashimi.
But the star of the show is the premium-grade beef. Actually, they have a lot of options for beef: American Angus Snowflakes beef, Australian lamb slice, Mongolian lamb and Chinese premium lamb. But best of all is the premium Japanese Kobe beef.
You then cook all these in the hot pot. Note that here, the pots are given for each guest, not placed in the middle. So you can pour in any and all items for the flavors you want.

On top of all these delectable ingredients, all you need is good conversation around the dinner table and you can count on having the best time ever.
As a bonus, you can also wear the traditional Chinese costumes they have and take photos in those after eating!
Good Luck is a great place to bring your family and friends. It is very evidently not just about good luck, this restaurant is all about good time, too!
