Don’t be scared of AI, small businesses told

MANILA, Philippines  -Even small enterprises could harness the potential of generative artificial intelligence (AI), an official of web hosting company GoDaddy Inc. said, dispelling the notion that the modern technology was only for large conglomerates with bigger operations.

Gourav Pani, president of US Independents at GoDaddy, said in an email to the Inquirer that AI tools were accessible and that Filipino entrepreneurs could take advantage of these to improve their businesses.

“The beauty of generative AI is that you do not need to be a tech expert or know how to code. The popular tools today, like the ones GoDaddy is embedding in its solutions, can do the heavy lifting for you,” he said.

Such tools can aid in crafting marketing campaigns to attract new customers and social media posts to engage existing followers.

In addition, the technology can be used in developing professional scripts for employees to refer to when serving customers.

Pani explained that generative AI has been leveling the playing field for smaller businesses as this technology was “democratizing access to information” about consumer insights.

These data, he noted, were crucial in developing products and services more suitable to customers. INQ
