It’s considered a privilege nowadays to have access to nature and be part of a healthy, thriving community.
This is why for many urban dwellers, their notion of a “desirable address” goes beyond merely a city location. Natural surroundings, picturesque views, and tranquil settings now also figure prominently in their criteria.
Addressing new preferences
Federal Land Inc. aptly addresses the growing demand for these new preferences as it introduced Riverpark, a sprawling 600-ha integrated community rising in General Trias, Cavite.
In this up and coming township, Federal Land, through its Federal Land Communities brand, presents what it has dubbed as the “Next Gen City”—one that is modern, accessible, and integrated, yet immersed in nature’s bounty.
“Our communities will link urban and natural environments, spaces and people with diverse settings for distinct pursuits—opening opportunities for a myriad of social, economic, and cultural activities in a sustainable multi-use development,” said Stephen S. Comia, head of Project Development Group at Federal Land.
Specifically, Federal Land Communities will integrate the existing rivers, streams, and natural waterways within the property with its planned landscaped parks, pedestrian and bike lane networks, and smart districts comprising residential neighborhoods, retail centers and leisure hubs. In this highly accessible, self-sufficient community, residents and businesses are accorded conducive environments to grow.
Distinct township
And this early, it’s apparent that Riverpark will stand distinct in many ways.
For one, it will be the first to feature an integrated river and parkside development with smart living solutions and Japanese innovations in Cavite.
Riverpark will also espouse a “smart living concept” which ensures that the different elements in the township will complement one another seamlessly. These will be evident in the eight elements that Federal Land has aimed to incorporate in this community.
Smart living design
Riverpark will integrate mixed-use zoning, which creates access to various amenities; flexible mobility that prioritizes pedestrian and bike-friendly streets; green spaces and outdoor recreation; and access to public transport which allows for easier commute to various destinations.
The township will also ensure social connectivity to encourage engagement among residents; safety and security augmented by gated entrances and well-lit streets; water conservation in consideration to changes in the climate system; and accessible, inclusive design that provides convenience for all ages and abilities.
Furthering its smart living design, Riverpark will feature a 2.6 km long Central Park that will serve as the pedestrian pathway. It brings nature into the heart of Riverpark and provides a landscape where people can socialize.
“Riverpark will provide a more thoughtful approach to the use of open spaces, as different areas in our development can be deliberately designed to support multiple uses,” Comia said.
Smart districts
All these world-class, smart living features can be enjoyed by future residents, locators and guests across all the smart, modern districts comprising Riverpark.
The first phase of development will see the rise of districts that will house a regional mall, high street retail, a school, residential subdivisions and condominiums, and a transport terminal.
One of the main districts will also feature a residential neighborhood by Federal Land NRE Global Inc. (FNG), the joint venture company between Federal Land and Japan’s Nomura Real Estate Development Co. Ltd. It will be home to mixed-use buildings, campus-like offices and a central park.
Under Phase 2, FNG will develop two more villages and a river edge corridor. Also rising in Riverpark is a CBD that will have retail and commercial offerings.
There is no doubt that Federal Land Communities’ Riverpark is raising the bar in township developments, proving that it is possible to create a seamless dialogue between nature and modern living spaces to provide residents and locators a well-balanced enriching lifestyle.
