BankCom taps Infosys Finacle for tech upgrades

MANILA -San Miguel Corp. (SMC)-backed Bank of Commerce (BankCom) tapped global banking technology expert Infosys Finacle to help accelerate its digital transformation and improve customer service.

These upgrades will allow the bank to introduce new products while bolstering security features.

“The partnership will enable BankCom to upgrade its systems with Infosys Finacle’s advanced and comprehensive banking solutions. This means replacing legacy systems with new and more efficient technology,” the lender said in a stock exchange filing on Thursday.

For example, the Infosys Finacle customer data hub will allow customers to “have instant access to their account information across different platforms, making banking more convenient and personalized.”

“Retail and corporate customers will also be able to manage and optimize liquidity on any device and across borders, currencies, and banks through the Finacle Liquidity Management solution,” BankCom said.

BankCom president and CEO Michelangelo Aguilar and senior vice president and chief information officer Marie Suzanne Sison-Sevilla recently led the signing ceremony with Infosys executives.

“The modernization of our core banking system is an integral part of BankCom’s digital transformation journey as a universal bank in delivering a truly digital banking experience to our clients,” Aguilar said
