A Gordon named to SBMA

MANILA, Philippines—President Benigno Aquino III has appointed Ann Marie Gordon, a former vice governor of Zambales, to the board of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA).

Gordon is the wife of Olongapo City Mayor James Gordon and a sister-in-law of former Sen. Richard Gordon.

Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said Gordon was appointed to the SBMA board of directors as the representative of Olongapo City.

She will be replacing Teodoro del Rosario for a term that will expire on Aug. 17, 2013.

Valte said the appointment papers had been sent to SBMA chair Roberto Garcia.
