MANILA -Aboitiz Power Corp. has renewed its retail electricity supply agreement with a Max’s Group commissary based in Cavite province to support the latter’s operations.
AboitizPower said in a statement on Thursday that it would be supplying 1.2 megawatts (MW) of electricity to NoBia Inc.’s food and manufacturing distribution center in Carmona City from November this year until December 2027.
According to the company, NoBia’s facility produces nearly 2,000 metric tons of food every month, supporting over 300 retail partner stores and a local network of more than 600 stores in the country.
The business of casual dining restaurant company Max’s Group includes Max’s Restaurant, Pancake House, Yellow Cab Pizza Co. and Krispy Kreme.
“Leveraging on AboitizPower’s renewable energy not only allows us to serve countless Filipino individuals with our culinary offerings but also adds significant value to the Max’s Group mission,” said NoBia president Cristina Garcia.
AboitizPower first entered into a retail electricity supply agreement with NoBia in November 2021. This is set to lapse next month.
AboitizPower currently has over 250 customers in its retail electricity supply business. It provides power through its portfolio of wind, solar and geothermal facilities.
The company aims to increase its renewable energy capacity to 4,600 MW, or 50 percent of its generation portfolio, by the next decade.
It currently has nearly 1,000 MW of renewable energy projects, including wind and solar farms, in the pipeline. INQ
