SVP and Head of Human Resources Albert Custodio hails the above industry standard rating of Converge in Employee Engagement, stating that worker satisfaction is directly linked to customer satisfaction thus the need to take care of their own employees.

“Reconfiguring the workplace to consider the post-pandemic needs of employees is a challenge most employers are tackling and we’re glad we’ve done a good job of this. We focused on driving employee engagement, and our score on that based on our own survey is higher than the industry standard. Our vision is to delight customers by taking care of our own. We keep our employees engaged because it has a direct impact on our customers,” said Albert Custodio, SVP and Head of Human Resources at Converge.

The industry (telecoms) average ranking for the Employee Engagement survey is 85, according to the study.

Employees worked together to refurbish a learning center in Tondo in August. This voluntary activity was spearheaded by the Human Resources department in partnership with the Corporate Communications and Public Relations department.

Converge key executives and leaders joined in the fun of celebrating reaching its 2-million customer milestone this October.

Recently, Converge was recognized by the Philippine Daily Inquirer- Statista in the Best Employers for 2024, a list of 300 companies which garnered the best scores from among 3,400 eligible firms in the country. The scores are the result of about 400,000 evaluations from among 16,000 employees.

This marks the second year in a row that Converge was counted among the top employers in the country. In the 2023 edition of the list, Converge garnered the best ranking among leading broadband players in the industry.

Converge President and Co-Founder Maria Grace Y. Uy, who is also the Chief Resource Officer, emphasizes that the collective belief of employees in the mission of connecting the unserved and underserved is what drives them to excel in their work.

“Our inclusion in the list of the country’s top 300 employers, for the second year in a row, is a strong signal that we are properly investing in our human capital. We are elated to know we are valued by our employees as much as we value them. More importantly, we believe in the same vision of providing world-class broadband connectivity to all Filipinos, and this drives their satisfaction with their work. This is all the more pressing now that we have 2 million customers,” said Converge President and Co-Founder Grace Y. Uy.
