Filinvest expands Laguna industrial estate with new 25-ha development

Gotianun-led property giant Filinvest Land Inc. (FLI) is targeting e-commerce companies and manufacturing firms as it upsizes its industrial park in Laguna by 50 percent to 75 hectares (ha).

The listed developer said it has started work on the 25-ha Filinvest Innovation Park-Ciudad de Calamba (FIP-CDC) in Calamba City. The recent groundbreaking event was attended by local government officials and executives from the state-run Philippine Economic Zone Authority (Peza).

“FIP-CDC marks a significant step forward for FLI as we expand our industrial presence in the Southern Tagalog region. With its cutting-edge green and digital features, FIP-CDC will offer a prime environment for logistics, e-commerce and light manufacturing locators,” Filinvest Land president and CEO Tristan Las Marias said in a statement.

The new project will expand the developer’s 50-ha Filinvest Technology Park, a Peza ecozone established in 2002.

It is located in Ciudad de Calamba, a 350-ha modern Filipino-Hispanic townscape.

“We are proud to provide a platform that not only supports businesses but also contributes to the growth of the local economy,” Las Marias said.

FIP-CDC will lease out ready-built factories and built-to-suit units catering to prospective locators’ varying requirements.

These will be “grade A” warehouses, meaning they will feature a “higher ceiling clearance and floor load capacity, elevated production floors with loading docks and superior utilities infrastructure support, including access to high-speed internet and fire detection and suppression.”

The project will also have provisions for rooftop solar panels and rainwater harvesting.

“Further, the entire FIP-CDC is a Peza-registered ecozone, allowing locators to enjoy tax perks, simplified trade procedures, and special visa privileges for foreign employees,” Filinvest Land said. INQ
