With the Philippines’ tourism data showing an increasing number of visitors having golf on their itinerary, it’s not surprising that more golf course residential developments are being built if not improved.

“With the property market now improving—after the property and currency crashes of the mid- to late-1990s—golf course estates are getting back on track and becoming an attractive proposition for those wanting not only to play but even live near the greens,” described former Philippine Open champion Danny Zarate, who is a consultant at the property.

He said it was no longer surprising to hear how a house or a condo by a golf course is now considered by many to be the best realty in the world.

One of the best examples that opened in recent years is the Sun Valley Golf and Development Inc.’s Sun Valley Residential Estates.

Nature-friendly

Sun Valley Residential Estates is a low-density and nature-friendly residential community located inside Sun Valley Golf, a private 18-hole course open to the public in Antipolo City.

“This is an Arnold Palmer designed course that is less than an hour’s drive from Metro Manila (via Marcos Highway). This alone is quite an attractive proposition for homebuyers wanting only the best,” Zarate said.

Sun Valley Residential Estates offers a different kind of community life as the lots are perched on picturesque mountainous terrain, blending seamlessly naturally occurring forest trees, shrubberies with proper site planning and development.

The community is carefully masterplanned to give residents a complete city lifestyle in a nature setting.

Inside the development, amenities are emphasized with lush pockets of greenery, swimming pools, viewing garden, picnic and jogging areas, a lagoon for boating and fishing, and function halls.

The Mahogany Lane is one of the high-end clusters at the Sun Valley Residential Estates, with ample distance between neighbors. It has its own lounge areas, pool, pavilion, and is walking distance from the golf course, commercial areas and other amenities.

Another cluster is the Sun Valley Fairway View Village, a new home site that has been developed to provide a housing community which includes two medium-rise condo and single family homes.

Attractions

Another attraction that would entice both homeowners and visitors is the open field developed for holding junior soccer events as well as outdoor events including zipline, giant swing, kayak, water walker, water roller, zorb ball and buggy ride.

This outdoor game area is open to the public and will accept reservations.

There will also be a hiking trail where homeowners will have easy access to nature trail that also leads to kayaking area in an adjoining piece of property set for future development.

“As of the moment Internet and cell phone connectivity are also being upgraded for wider coverage while living inside the property,” Zarate added.
