Design Philosophy
Norman Agleron, a partner at the Manila office of American firm Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), said they designed the model unit for the “affluent market who’s seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of urban life and enjoy the luxury of being in a nature-inspired setting, with exquisite open spaces and magnificent views, hence the golf course.” In explaining the design, Agleron said they created a concept called “Growth Rings”, a cross-section of the stem of a woody plant.
“We translated this by using different finishes that mimic the real wood and that give us a natural and warm feel of the space. Having an open layout for the kitchen, dining, and living room lets the sunlight travel and connect indoor space with the outdoors, giving us a brighter room with a direct view of the outdoors and an airy feel. The furniture designs that were selected are soft and modern in detail, this is to contrast the hard interior architectural details of the unit,” Agleron said.
