More and more Filipinos are turning into socially conscious consumers. Not only are they looking for the best value for their hard earned money, they’re also on the hunt for investments that are socially responsible. This is why Golden Bay Landholdings anchors their pioneering residential project on sustainable and purposeful design prioritizing their residents’ wellbeing. “Garden City is quality and sustainable design at an accessible price, a masterpiece for the middle class,” describes Golden Bay’s COO Jardin Wong.
Garden City is a six-tower,18 storey mini city that helps residents achieve a well-rounded and balanced work-live-play lifestyle by providing them with a conducive environment to do so. Poised to be the Ultimate Urban Paradise, Garden City marries the beauty and benefits nature has to offer with everyday modern living. “Our concept was born out of a desire to offer nature-inspired living and to usher a sustainable brand of lifestyle. This concept represents a direct connection between people and nature, bringing future residents closer to the environment,” he points out.
Sustainable Design
Collaborating with prominent industry leader WTA Architecture and Design Studio for the visual and experiential elements, Garden City boasts of a Zen-inspired, organically natural flowing design. Akin to an oasis, the property aims to refresh and recharge its residents from the daily hustle and bustle of city life.
However, all this design talk is not just cosmetic. Wong points out they have gone out of their way to find partners who have the same sustainable vision as theirs. Golden Bay is committed to investing in smart and sustainable materials that won’t hurt the planet. “It’s our responsibility as a developer to do our part in taking care of the environment. We might incur high cost upfront but it’s definitely a wise investment in the long run.”
Notably, their dedication to green architecture has garnered Garden City a win at the prestigious OPAL Awards in London where the members of the jury are international design purveyors. This makes Garden City more than just a mere condo investment but a legacy to pass on.
Smarter Sizes
Recognizing that size will always be a limitation with condos, Wong points out that every Garden City unit offers two “efficient layouts” so residents can truly maximize their living space. The first are studio units that average 30-square-meters, ideal for singletons, pied-à-terres, and OFWs looking a worthy investment. The second are two-bedroom units at 70-square-meters designed for start-up families and retirees.
Both come in a square-cut shape (with minimum width of 3.9 meters), making them more ideal for space planning than the common rectangular layout. Clients are also allowed to flexibly combine adjacent units together should they require more space. All units will have full sliding doors to the balcony, a lofty floor-to-ceiling height of at least 2.6 meters, and inclusion of air conditioning units. With an average of 18 units per floor, residents are promised privacy and exclusivity within a tight-knit community.
In an effort to maximize the connection to nature, a majority of units have balcony views of Manila Bay, where residents can enjoy the iconic sunsets. Opposite views feature the Makati and Las Piñas skylines.
Selection of Amenities
Garden City commits to its name as a wellness escape for its dwellers. Over half of the property is dedicated to nature podiums and open spaces. “The concept offers residents a nature-inspired lifestyle that will positively impact their wellbeing. From reducing stress, enhancing positivity, maintaining good health, connecting with family, creating spaces for relaxation, solitude, and joy; we’ve designed every space purposefully, with a selection of around 20 key amenities,” says Wong. The first few floors of the development will host a retail podium reserved for essential retailers like banks, shops, and more.
Sought-After Spot
Dubbed as the urban core of the South, Garden City will be rising at Bacoor City Cavite; near the upcoming LRT 1 Bacoor Station, Cavitex Toll Road, CALAX ExpressWay, PITX, and NAIA. It is also within a 10-minute drive away from the Macapagal Bay Area.
Phase 1 of the development is scheduled to finish around 2028 while Phase 2’s completion is targeting mid-2031.
