MANILA – GoTyme Bank, one of only six fully digital banks licensed by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, upgraded its “Go Save” offering with a 5-percent annual interest rate from 3 percent previously to help grow its customers base.
“We want to help our customers protect the value of their emergency fund from eroding,” GoTyme co-chief executive and chief commercial officer Albert Tinio said in a statement.
“We want to step up our game and ensure that our customers are afforded with a competitive, risk-free rate that only banks normally get,” Tinio added.
Launched in October 2022, GoTyme is a joint venture between the Gokongwei group and South Africa-based Tyme.
Go Save was rolled out with no deposit caps, no missions, and no minimum balance requirements.
