Discovery Hospitality Corporation (DHC) has once again made its mark in the travel and tourism industry with three of its properties receiving nominations in the prestigious 30th Annual World Travel Awards (WTA) 2023.
Discovery Shores Boracay, an exquisite beachfront resort, has been nominated for the Philippines’ Leading Beach Resort 2023. Meanwhile, Club Paradise Palawan, an idyllic private island resort, has been nominated for the Philippines’ Leading Private Island Resort 2023. And finally, Discovery Primea, a luxury business hotel in Makati City, is back in the running as Asia’s Leading Business Hotel and the Philippines’ Leading Business Hotel, after earning the titles in 2020 and 2021, and 2019 and 2020, respectively.
“These nominations serve as a testament to the exceptional service, breathtaking locations, world-class amenities, and finely-curated experiences that DHC properties are known for,” said Chief Operating Officer Jun Parreño.
“Year after year, we consistently find prestige in WTA’s respective categories, and every industry award and nomination we’ve received assures us that DHC is on the right track,” he continued.
The WTA nomination served as further inspiration for the Discovery Shores Boracay team as well, according to Hotel Manager Erwin Lopez. “It’s truly encouraging to receive this level of recognition from an international body like the World Travel Awards, and everyone in Discovery Shores Boracay is grateful for it.”
Meanwhile, Discovery Primea’s General Manager, David Pardo de Ayala remains positive that these nominations will enhance the hotel’s efforts to “stand out and be competitive, not just within the local industry, but also in the regional stage and beyond.”
With voting now open until July 23, DHC encourages everyone to vote for their nominated properties and help bring these awards home to the Philippines.
“We’re enjoining our fellow travel professionals, as well as our beloved guests, to express their support for Club Paradise Palawan and the other nominated DHC destinations with a vote,” said Club Paradise Palawan Hotel Manager Joegil Magtanggol Escobar.
“Every vote inspires us to push the envelope of hospitality further, and continue to bring to the world stage DHC’s brand of Philippine tourism and service,” added Parreño. “Let’s make 2023 a year to remember for the industry.”
