Travel technology firm Dyninno Group of Companies is keen on further cementing its presence in the country with its expansion plans amid the resurgence of tourism activities following the easing of mobility restrictions.
In a statement sent to the Inquirer, the company expressed bullish outlook for Philippine operations, announcing that it was eyeing to open its third office in Cebu. It currently has offices in Manila and Cebu.
Along with this, the traveltech firm wants to hire 500 employees to support its expansion. It employs 1,200 individuals now.
Among the job opportunities open are travel agents and customer support executives.
“We have significant plans for the Philippines market. The talent here is versatile and skilled. We plan to grow in the Philippines along with the growth of our employees,” Dyninno chair and co-founder Alex Weinstein said.
“We want to create jobs, hire more Filipinos and equip them with the best training, technology, and incentives,” he added.
Weinstein said that Dyninno was not just looking at hiring Filipino talent but it was also the company’s goal to upskill them so they would be equipped with the right tools for the job.
“We ensure our employees get access to the best tech products and training infrastructure developed within our group companies,” he said.
“Our employees are the driving force of our business. We coach them in the latest sales- and customer-oriented approaches that make us stand out in the market,” he added.
The expansion plans come on the heels of the Department of Tourism’s positive outlook for tourism activities this year.
The agency recently said it was projecting foreign tourist arrivals to reach 4.8 million this year with the return of travel confidence and easing of mobile restrictions.
Visitor receipts, meanwhile, are expected to amount to $5.8 billion or about P321.21 billion this year with the resumption of more tourism activities.
The local airlines have also been ramping up their flight capacities, both domestic and international destinations, to cater to the so-called revenge travel phenomenon.
Dyninno is a company founded by Weinstein in 2004 in San Francisco, providing customer support services to travelers. It has now 23 offices across the world.
