Fernando Zobel de Ayala returns to Ayala Land as board advisor
Billionaire Fernando Zobel de Ayala is returning to property giant Ayala Land Inc. as advisor to the board five months after he resigned as chair to focus on his recovery and health.
Zobel, the chair of Ayala Land for 23 years and former CEO and president of conglomerate Ayala Corp., has transitioned to advisory roles since relinquishing his board and executive duties within the group after taking a medical leave of absence in mid August 2022.
Last Sept. 27, he rejoined the conglomerate as special advisor to the board.
Ayala Land also approved on Wednesday the appointments of Mary Grace Santos-Ontiveros as vice president and digital transformation head and Roscoe M. Pineda as vice president and information technology director for the residential business group.
Their appointments will become effective on March 1 this year.
Santos-Ontiveros is the former head of industry for consumer packaged goods, retail and healthcare at Google Philippines and global marketing manager for Citra Skin Care portfolio of Uniliver.

He was also chief shared services officer of Sun Life of Canada, Philippines and was the head of systems, quality management, global migration of CHARTIS Technology and Operations Management Corp. – AIG Shares Services.
He is a member of the board of trustees of Global In house Centers Council of the Philippines.
