Razon-led Manila Water Co. Inc. is spending P833 million this year to implement several projects in the pipeline to improve water services in Rizal.
In a statement, the listed firm said it has lined up the implementation of 23 mainline extension and individualization projects as part of its service expansion program.
“Priorities for service expansion include the underserved and still-unserved areas as well as marginalized communities in its service area particularly in booming Rizal Province,” said Manila Water in a statement.
These include 11 mainline extension projects in the following towns: five in Baras; four in Rodriguez, in Metro Royale Homes, Amityville, Emmaus Compound and along Marang Road; and two projects in Binangonan located in Sitio Balatik and Sitio Wawa.
Manila Water will carry out 10 mainline extension projects covering two in Sitio Tanza and Tolosa Ville; two in Barangay Calawis; two projects in Cabading and Heroes Ville; one in Sitio Painuman and Sitio Kalakad; one in Pedra Blanca Homes and Sitio Culasisi; a project in Boso-Boso and a mainline extension and individualization project in Queenstock Heights.
Two individualization projects in Town and Country Executive Village in Antipolo and Aurora Subdivision in Angono are likewise included.
Once completed, a total of 45,205 families in Rizal will benefit from these projects which form part of Manila Water’s P181-billion service improvement plan covering the years 2023 to 2027.
The five-year plan entails the construction of new water sources and needed infrastructure and the rehabilitation of its existing facilities. INQ
