Mention the phrase “outdoor lifestyle” and exciting things immediately come to mind: off-road trails, cooking over a campfire, pitching a tent, basking in the sun and sleeping under the stars.

Experience these and a whole lot more when you head to Alviera Estate in Porac, Pampanga, on Feb. 24 to 26. Meet fellow outdoor enthusiasts and adventure-seekers at the biggest gathering of outdoor products and services at the Outdoor Expo North 2023. The saying, “It’s the journey, not the destination” holds exactly true for overlanding enthusiasts. But even so, you need to know the basics of overlanding before you hit the road. Equip your 4- or 2-wheeler with the right essentials before you immerse yourself in the overland lifestyle.

Roughing it outdoors doesn’t mean starving yourself or depriving yourself and fellow campers of scrumptious fare. Learn outdoor cooking hacks from Chef Chavi Romawac as he shares some tricks of the trade in an open-fire cooking demo.

Romawac specializes in cuisine that is characteristic of the highlands and is popularly known in social media circles as Baguio Mountain Man. American outdoor brand Barebones Living will host this mouthwatering segment of the Outdoor Expo North.

Motorheads will absolutely have a field day around Alviera Estate with the lineup of activities for off-road bikes and 4×4 vehicles. Participants will also be given access to the KTM motocross track right across the exhibit grounds.

What’s an outdoor expo if you can’t actually camp on the site, right? Participants can pitch their tents at the dedicated camping space just beside the exhibit area. Two hectares of lush, open grounds are ready to house up to 400 campers.

Campers are advised to register online (outdoorexpo.ph/register) to reserve a camping slot. The regular camping rate is P3,500 which covers two nights. Avail of the early bird rate (P2,500) if you reserve a slot on or before Jan. 31.

The camping fee includes entrance for four to Outdoor Expo North 2023, discounted entrance to SandBox, four raffle entries plus access to portalets and water supply which are dedicated to campers.
