“We are truly honored and grateful for the awards across two key strategic regions. These resonate with our vision and efforts to provide access to high-quality electrical products and support accelerated development of safer homes, commercial spaces, and industrial facilities,” said Shrinivas Chebbi, the Global Head of Himel Business. “These recognitions validate our commitment to value engineering and a deeper understanding of emerging economies to further drive success.”

“These awards are recognition of our efforts to expand the Himel offer basket and exceedingly deliver on industry needs. For Southeast Asia, our products meet key quality certification requirements and have been part of several residential and commercial projects. Our increasing ecommerce footprint has been driving access to quality-assured electrical products. With our extensive distribution network, we are committed to amplifying accessibility of Himel products,” added Koon San Ang, Himel Vice President of Sales–Asia.

The company also acknowledged the impact of its marketing and sales strategies which are “underpinned at all times by the vision of reliability and affordability.”

“At Himel, we aim to push the perceived limitations of cost-efficient electrical products. Through extensive on-ground and online marketing initiatives, including multichannel customer engagement and nudging conversations around the need for safer electrical products, we continue to position Himel as a reliable and trusted provider of value beyond product,” said Vibha Thusu, the Global Head of Himel Marketing and Communications.

Aside from the recent Global Brand Awards, Himel was also recently recognized by Indonesia-based media InfoBrand, winning the Brand Choice Award for its miniature circuit breaker or MCB under the Home and Living category. According to InfoBrand, Himel was recognized based on three key aspects: Digital Brand Awareness, Brand Choice, and Social Media.

The brand’s social media campaign is focused on educating the public on basic safety features of electrical products, correct usage and installation, and common electrical hazards and how to prevent them. The MCBs themselves, on the other hand, are manufactured in a state-of-art facility with a dedicated research and development center. This has enabled Himel products to pass the quality standards of multiple countries, as well as obtain the international RoHS certification which ensures no harmful elements are used in the manufacturing process.

While these awards are a welcome testament to the company’s endeavors, Himel remains laser-focused on reliability and value engineering to bring forward quality products that empower safe access to electricity in emerging and developing economies.

Just last year, Himel launched 11 more offerings to add to its over 22,000 certified and quality-assured products across Low Voltage Power Distribution, Final Distribution, Power Management, Motor Control and Protection, Industrial Components, and Home Electric. The wide range of electrical components allows Himel to cater to various needs at home, in the office, or other commercial and industrial facilities and continue its pursuit of demand-driven innovation, which has proved vital to the company’s expansion and success.
