Grab shines the spotlight on its best-performing merchants through the Golden Grab Awards 2022

With the past few years’ rise of demand for quick, convenient, and affordable solutions – Filipinos have relied heavily on on-demand delivery services. It has become a vital part of daily routines, and changed the way Pinoys eat and shop. All this made possible by the leading superapp Grab providing seamless access to food, essentials, and parcel deliveries. 

Continuing its long-standing commitment to empowering a vast network of merchant partners on its platform, Grab recently held its 2nd Golden Grab Awards last November 22, where Grab recognizes and celebrates its best-performing merchant partners aptly themed ‘Together we shine the brightest’ – recognizing the invaluable support of consumers and delivery-partners to the success of Grab’s merchant partners in the Philippines.

The Golden Helmet award, which recognizes the kindest, most accommodating, and efficient delivery-partner based on merchant and customer reviews, was awarded to Nelson Senique Bitudio and received by fellow delivery-partners on his behalf

“As a superapp, our consumers, delivery-partners, and merchants all play a vital role in each other’s success, and we are determined to ensure that everyone relying on our platform can scale and thrive amidst the fast-changing economic situations. Our Golden Grab Awards is a clear testament of that. Most importantly this program is a vivid expression of our enduring commitment to the success of our MSMEs in the Philippines. We are optimistic that through our superapp business model, hyperlocalized programs, and a shared commitment to driving the Philippines forward, we can create stronger and more resilient livelihoods for our MSMEs and everyday entrepreneurs,” said  Anton Bautista, Grab Philippines Head of Deliveries and Business Development.

A total of 40 awards from the Sales Superstars, Merchant Congeniality, Cities of Tomorrow, and Golden Awards categories were given that night, with the awards highlighting the fan favorites, best rated, most creative, and most salable merchants. Special awards under the Golden Awards category were also given like the Golden Helmet for the kindest, most accommodating and efficient driver-partner; and the Golden Lunchbox and Golden Cart for the most loyal and heaviest users of GrabFood and GrabMart respectively.

McDonald’s bagged two awards at the Golden Grab Awards 2022, including the Breakfast Champs award under the Sales Superstars category and the Fan Favorite award for the Fast Food category

One of the two awards Starbucks bagged is the Merienda Masters award under the Sales Superstars category

Robinsons Supermarket and SM Markets were among the GrabMart merchant-partners recognized at the Golden Grab Awards 2022

Jollibee took home the ‘Dinner Dash’ award under the Sales Superstars category

The celebration didn’t stop with the awarding, because Grab also treated their merchant-partner guests to a comedy act by Victor Anastacio, an unforgettable performance by the Ryan Cayabyab Singers, and big raffle prizes too.

As the end of the year is drawing closer, the Golden Grab Awards 2022 allowed Grab and its merchant-partners to look back at the wins and learnings of the past year— highlighting the importance of the different roles each partner plays, and how these successes would not be possible without partnership. Grab looks forward to continuing to strengthen and celebrate these partnerships as it enters a new year of opportunities and milestones.
