Megaworld Corp. is set to open a 12-story hotel in its 34-hectare The Upper East township in Bacolod City by 2028.
Kingsford Hotel Bacolod, envisioned to become the biggest hotel in the city, will house 300 rooms with four categories ranging from 25 square meters (sqm) to over 100 sqm.
The hotel will be located in the middle of residential condominium towers in the township, namely One Regis, Two Regis, One Manhattan and Herald Parksuites.
“We are bringing the Kingsford Hotel brand to Bacolod, our second one next to Manila, with so many upgraded facilities and amenities, including a wider choice of room categories and several food and beverage outlets,” Megaworld Hotel & Resorts managing director Cleofe Albiso said.
The property will include four food and beverage outlets, a gift shop and a two-level retail arcade. The hotel is also designed to have an executive lounge for VIP guests.
The grand ballroom will have a banquet-style seating for 400 guests. There would also be three smaller function rooms with 80- to 100-guest capacity each. An outdoor events place for 220 people is also included in the hotel’s blueprint.
“We are bringing the best to Bacolod because we have a very sophisticated market here. Moreso, we want to help boost Bacolod’s position as a very attractive MICE (meeting, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) location,” Albiso said.
“We are building this hotel that will hopefully match the requirements of the very discerning business travelers,” she added.
