From its establishment, Avida Land has sought to make sustainable, master-planned communities affordable and accessible to middle-class Filipino.
A goal fulfilled
That it has now built thousands of homes nationwide after more than three decades in the business is a clear testament to a goal fulfilled, a showcase of how Avida Land has met and continues to meet the Filipino family’s need for a safe, practical, and comfortable place to live in and enjoy.
Today, Avida Land is committed to creating quality homes, enriching and enhancing local communities, providing value to clients, and partners, and leading industry innovation.
Groundbreaking projects
Avida Land already has a notable portfolio of developments even in its early years when it was then named Laguna Properties Holdings Inc. (LPHI). In 2010, four years after it changed its name to Avida Land, it further broadened its scope to add more high-profile undertakings to what was then already an impressive portfolio. Families looking to relocate in South Luzon, for example, can have their pick from two great communities: Ridgeview Estates Nuvali and Avida Village Nuvali.
Avida also began expanding its geographical reach, going beyond outside its initial focus areas (Greater Manila Area and South Luzon) to establish its presence in other major cities like Cebu, Bacolod, and Iloilo. Avida returned to Metro Manila and added two more skyscrapers to its portfolio: Avida Towers Alabang and Avida Towers BGC 9th Ave. in Taguig.
In 2012, it launched another groundbreaking project, Avida Towers Davao–the company’s first residential development in Mindanao.
A series of firsts
The following year, Avida introduced a series of firsts–its first vacation home development, Serin West Tagaytay; its first office development, One Park Drive in Bonifacio Global City; its first mixed-use estate development, South Park District in Muntinlupa City; and its first mixed-use residential projects, Avida Towers Atria and Avida Storeys Atria in Iloilo.
The One Antonio condominium complex in San Antonio Village in Makati City was Avida’s first low-rise, low-density offering launched in 2016. Avida’s first condo-village project featured a novel T-shaped layout, with 60 percent of the land devoted to lush, pleasant open areas and landscaping.
Around this time, Avida has already completed construction for 78 projects across the country. Many of these initiatives were groundbreaking in the local communities. After a 20-year development phase, the developer finished 29,429 individual homes as of June 2017.
Broad presence
The future will likely hold additional developments and locations.
Avida, after all, continues to maintain its position as the Ayala Land residential brand with the broadest presence–going beyond projects in the traditional central business districts like the Avida Towers Makati Southpoint in Makati City and Avida Towers Verge in Mandaluyong City. It continues to have an extensive selection of condominiums in Bonifacio Global City, and expand its presence in emerging Ayala Land estates like Vertis North and Cloverleaf in Quezon City, Alviera in Pampanga, Arca South in Taguig City, and the more established Nuvali in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
Avida Land has undoubtedly become a household name among smart, practical homebuyers looking for their dream homes in safe, secure communities. These spaces have since inspired a lifestyle of limitless potential and a belief that anything is possible, further motivating people to pursue their passions–something that naturally comes with owning an Avida home, with owning a much coveted piece of Ayala Land.
