PropertyGuru celebrates the best in local real estate in 2022 PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards

The Philippine property market has grown in extent and diversity, so much so that PropertyGuru even expanded its awards categories over the last few years.

It was a historical night with many landmark wins.

PropertyGuru, Southeast Asia’s leading property technology company, shone the spotlight on the Philippines’ most innovative real estate developers and projects in the 10th edition of the PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards. Fairmont Makati’s main ballroom was packed with many of the country’s prominent names in real estate in the much awaited black-tie gala.

“The Philippines’ real estate has shown outstanding resilience in the last three years,” said Jules Kay, general manager of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards and Events. “Even through the pandemic, developers continued to move forward, adapting to the situation, matching the needs and aspirations of the buyers not only here, but also internationally.”

Kay noted how the Philippine property market has grown in extent and diversity, so much so that PropertyGuru even expanded its awards categories over the last few years. Aside from adding more condo and housing awards, it has included lifestyle developments, branded residences, mixed-use developments, coworking spaces as well as bigger projects such as townships, and industrial developments.

“Philippine developers and projects have been awarded the best in Asia at the Property Awards Grand Final for several years in a row,” he said. “We look forward to seeing more Filipino names on that winners list when we announce the regional winners in December in Bangkok.”

Kay announced as well that PropertyGuru has listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

Robinsons Land received numerous awards including Best Developer, Best Developer (Luzon), Best Township Development, Best Lifestyle Development, Best Health and Wellness Development, Best Township Masterplan Design, Best Office Interior Design and Best Co Working Space.

Cebu Landmasters Inc. also garnered nine wins including Best Developer (Visayas) and Best Developer (Mindanao), while SM Development Corp. (SMDC) took home seven awards for Air Residences, Glam Residences, Gold City, Ice Tower Residential-Offices, Joy Residences, and Shore Residences.

Aboitiz InfraCapital Economic Estates earned five wins, including Best Industrial Developer. AboitizLand Inc. meanwhile won Best Housing Development (Visayas).

Megaworld Corp. won Best Operational Office Portfolio, Best Hospitality Developer and Best Mixed Use Developer. Megaworld Hotels & Resorts won Best Operational Hospitality Portfolio while Global-Estate Resorts Inc., a subsidiary of Megaworld Corporation, won the Best Lifestyle Developer award.

Torre Lorenzo Development Corp. was named Best Boutique Developer. PHINMA Property Holdings Corp. won Best Housing Development  (Philippines). Sunshine Fort North Bonifacio Realty Development Corp., a joint venture of Federal Land Inc. and Nomura Nomura Real Estate Development Co. Ltd. and Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Ltd., won Best Condo Development  (Philippines) for The Seasons Residences.

Alveo Land won Best High End Condo Development (Metro Manila), Best High Rise Condo Development (Metro Cebu), and Best Office Development.

Other awardees throughout the archipelago were AppleOne Mactan Inc. (Best Branded Residential Development), Aseana Residential Holdings Corp. (Best Completed Condo Development), Priland Development Corp. (Best Connectivity Condo Development), Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. (Best Eco Friendly Commercial Development), Damosa Land (Best Eco Friendly Housing Development), Golden Haven Memorial Park (Best Memorial Park Landscape Architectural Design).
