Tomorrow is yours with Salomon
With a rousing call to create impactful change while conquering the outdoors, renowned action sports brand Salomon recently unveiled its new brand mantra.
Declaring that “Tomorrow is Yours”, Salomon aims to inspire a growing audience of young outdoor enthusiasts to take a proactive step in creating a positive future for everyone.
“Our legacy has been built by people who approach every day with a brave, curious mindset and a belief that we all have the power to make an impact,” said Salomon President and CEO Franco Fogliato.
Fogliato added that the new direction effectively appeals to a “growing audience of young outdoor enthusiasts who believe they can do the same.”
By tapping the inventive and innovative drive inside us, Salomon dares everyone to do something they’ve never done before— be it exploring a new trail or picking up trash while running.
The new brand message empowers young people to connect with the outdoors as they unleash the best version of themselves.
Along with the brand signature is an updated logo and monogram that lend a more modern edge to the brand.
The French company built on its heritage to create a subtle shift towards the future. The new logo now features a forward-leaning typography that represents not only dynamic movement but also the pioneering role in outdoor action sports.
Altogether, the mantra spans across the brands commitment to creating top-notch products but also to how it propels forward the communities of outdoor sports enthusiasts.
FORGING THE PATH FOR GOOD
Locally, the brand has worked steadily to bring to life the message of Tomorrow is Yours through a series of initiatives.
To give back to local communities, Salomon Philippines recently completed the first run of its trade-in sale for trail and hike shoes. Through this, they were able to collect 190 pairs of shoes which they plan to donate to relevant groups.
“We plan to have a series of donation drives to empower the people who help everyone else discover the thrill and freedom of the outdoors,” said Aiza Dagdagan, senior brand executive of Salomon Philippines.
In partnership with Recreational Outdoor Exchange (R.O.X.), 32 functional pairs of footwear were donated to locals in Mount Pulag, Luzon’s highest peak, last September 12, 2022.
Dagdagan added that local guides, porters, forest rangers, and employees of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) received the donated footwear.
In addition to the trade-in, Salomon also tapped the community in Iloilo province through a community run coupled with a clean-up drive.
A total of 50 runners joined the event that ran through UP Visayas Trail Park and Campus as well as the Miaga0 coastal area last September 17.
According to Dagdagan, intimate community engagements like this create impactful change.
“Our aim is to create a positive impact that drives even bigger positive change. We want to inspire communities to take care of the outdoors since it is our playground,” Dagdagan added.
BLAZING THE TRAIL OF THE FUTURE
As Salomon leads everyone to an exciting future, there are a few thrilling things to look forward to.
Dagdagan said that more community projects are in the pipeline for Salomon.
“We want to lead everyone into a tomorrow where people are eager to reinvent themselves to be better,” she added.
All the community engagements of Salomon will build up to the return of the celebrated trail running event, the Salomon X-Trail this March 2023.
Participants should expect an even more demanding route and bigger challenges along the way.
Salomon challenges everyone to flex their pioneering spirit through the use the hashtag #TomorrowIsYours.
According to Dagdagan, people can use it as they show off new routes, bested personal records, or any new activities they enjoy through the hashtag #TomorrowIsYours.
“Each step towards tomorrow, we want to encourage more people to help shape it for the better with us,” she said.
