Business referral group celebrates milestones with ‘bayanihan’ themed family day

BNI Elite, a local chapter of Business Network International (BNI), celebrated its ‘Diamond Qualifier’  status through a family day event entitled Barrio Fiesta Elite Family Day on October 22, 2022 at Amiya  Raya, San Mateo, Rizal. 

In order to become a ‘Diamond Qualifier’, BNI Elite successfully grew their membership to more than 100  members making their chapter the biggest in the Philippines. This milestone bolsters the group’s  momentum after its members generated P244M of closed business from April 2022 to September 2022. 

Attendees were treated to a fun-filled day of activities such as fiesta-style dining, parlor games, and wine  tasting. At the same time, children also enjoyed face painting, an inflatable island, a puppet show, and a  magic show. The celebration was one of BNI Elite’s first face-to-face events after the group switched to  purely online business meetings amid the COVID-19 pandemic.  

According to BNI Elite President Cai Lim-Regala, the event was conceptualized with members’ families in  mind. “We wanted everyone to unwind, have a weekend getaway, have fun, and basically enjoy. After  COVID-19 and its aftermath, while we consistently held meetings online and built relationships with BNI  members, I’m sure our families heard stories and things about BNI and even saw us while we were  having our 121s or heard us while we delivered our weekly spiels,” said Lim-Regala after the successful  event. 121s are 1-on-1 meetings conducted by BNI members where they get to know each other and  discover ways to find business referrals. “We wanted them to experience the camaraderie we have and  let them meet our ‘extended’ family,” she added. 

BNI or Business Network International is the world’s largest business referral organization with over  292,000 members; 10,805 chapters and $19.4 billion in member-generated business globally in the last  12 months. The BNI Elite chapter is part of the Taguig Region or cluster of chapters based in Taguig,  Philippines.
