Toktok app reaches another milestone with 2 million app downloads

toktok

MANILA, Philippines — Toktok, the first Filipino-made multi use app incorporating e wallet and ride haling and delivery features celebrated another milestone with 2 million app downloads.

Toktok, like many game-changing innovations, started from necessity. Due to the increased need for delivery services, founders, young and innovative business magnates Jonathan So and Carlito Macadangdang established and developed toktok.

During the pandemic, Cloud Panda Ph, an IT company solution composed of Filipino developers, created the Toktok super app. Both computer programmers, So and Macadangdang, oversaw and shared their expertise in application development.

Toktok was first created to assist So and Macadangdang’s other businesses (Siomai King, Coppermask, Boy Bondat, and JC) with logistical issues. Gradually, it expanded to serve a bigger market, eventually becoming national.

But with their business acumen, So and Macadangdang ultimately decided to expand toktok into an enterprise that would not only fill the market for delivery services but also provide a source of income for Filipinos in need.

On Dec. 8, 2020, toktok was officially launched in Metro Manila. Armed with 100 poging toktok riders, its fleet quickly increased to thousands. toktok’s services have helped small and medium-sized enterprises grow and expand their consumer base, as well as helped give riders a source of income during the pandemic.
