Mariott’s first resort in PH to open on Sept. 1

CEBU CITY—An international five-star hotel chain is opening its first resort on Mactan Island, Cebu.
Located along Punta Engaño Road in Lapu-Lapu City, Mactan, Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort–Marriott International’s first resort in the Philippines– will open its doors to the public on Sept. 1.
Sheraton Cebu Mactan, according to its statement, has 261 stylish rooms and suites with the captivating views of the Hilutungan Channel, one of Cebu’s finest and richest sanctuaries, and the scenic Olango Island, one of the seven best-known flyaways for migratory birds in the world.
The resort also features the Sheraton Spa, function and board rooms, and a selection of dining outlets, among others.
Its Sheraton Honeymoon Suite has a 180-degree view of the ocean in the bedroom area.
Its swimming pool offers the stunning view of Mactan Island’s famed white sand beach, natural landscapes, and crystal blue waters.
One of their outlets is Sa Sitio, a community-inspired coffee bar-deli-bakery shop, where guests can connect with each other or be alone. It offers a vast array of pastries, staple drinks, and grab-and-go offering for gastronomic satisfaction.
All three main dining outlets will have a variety of food selection.
5 Cien, the resort’s all-day dining, brings culture, art, and haute cuisine all together over an etch of international dining selections complemented with a selection of local offerings such as the taho, sikwate or tablea, and other Cebuano delicacies served in a gourmet ensemble.
Dip ,meanwhile, offers a neo-festive palatable experience to the guests – serving the best of Nikkei cuisine amid bold eye-catching Peruvian-Japanese interiors.
Another special feature of the resort is the Buhi Bar – a stone-carved exquisite cave bar serving classic and contemporary drinks handcrafted by seasoned mixologists paired with scrumptious Mediterranean dishes.
Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort also welcomes social gatherings and business meetings. The property boasts of its 1,400-square-meter event space and five state-of-the-art meeting rooms.
Another area of interest for events is the ballroom that can accommodate up to 500 guests.
