Cebu Pacific, AHA Learning Center bring Fun for Little Juans to Star City
It was a day for fun and shrieking as Cebu Pacific and AHA Learning Center brought 100 kids to experience thrilling rides and games at the Star City.
Cebu Pacific brought back its “Fun for Little Juans” – a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) engagement – and this time partnered with the AHA Learning Center for its first face-to-face community engagement.
AHA brought 100 kids and 50 guardians from a sponsored community in Tondo, Manila to have a day of fun and learning at the Star City. AHA, which started in 2009 as a free after-school program in Makati, now directly supports more than 300 public school students in the National Capital Region.
Employees of Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading carrier, volunteered their time and energy to help organize the event and play with the kids who had a grand time at the theme park.
“This is the most fun activity we’ve had since the pandemic. Nothing beats the joy of seeing children happily playing and taking the carnival rides, after being cooped up inside their homes during the pandemic. We, at Cebu Pacific, enjoy sharing our time and resources with deserving Filipino communities,” said Carmina Romero, Director for Corporate Officer at Cebu Pacific.
Apart from enjoying the rides in the amusement park, the kids were also given snack, vitamins and care kit loot bags from sponsors such as Universal Robina Corporation, The Generics Pharmacy and Pascual Laboratories.
“Having a day like this means so much more to our students after the year they’ve had.”, said Jaton Zulueta, AHA President and Founder. AHA Learning Center always highlights the milestones that their students have reached and this kind of celebration is a big win for everyone. Zulueta adds, “Today is a day that they will definitely never forget.”
