The Programme Analyst analyses and assesses relevant political, social and economic trends, guiding and facilitating the formulation and delivery of UNFPA’s programmes. You will provide innovative technical knowledge and deliver substantive technical advice on current and emerging approaches in population data and policies to Country Office, government and other stakeholders. The Humanitarian-Development-Peacebuilding Nexus Programme Development Specialist will oversee the work of the HDP Nexus Programme Development (HDPNPD) Unit under the UNFPA Country Office (CO) Strategy Development and Branding (SDB) Team. You w ill maintain collaborative relationships with all programme and project staff at the CO and Sub-Office. Internal contacts include the Representative, the National Strategy Execution (NSE) Team, the Mindanao Strategy Execution (MSE) Team and the Operations Support (OS) Team. External contacts include other UN agencies in the country, counterparts in Country programme activities, and donors, including development partners.
Assistant Representative, Manila, Philippines, NOD
The Assistant Representative, in coordination with and support to the Representative, is primarily responsible for the coordinated, timely, and quality execution of the UNFPA Country Programme at the national level. You will also contribute to the design and development of an innovative and responsive country programme, including the various strategies, projects and initiatives under it. You will lead the UNFPA Country Office (CO) National Strategy Execution (NSE) Team, inspiring it to translate the regional and country goals into tangible solutions and results. You will collaborate closely with the CO’s Strategy Development and Branding (SDB), Mindanao Strategy Execution (MSE) and Operations Support (OS) Teams.

The National Programme Analyst – Gender/GBV analyses and assesses relevant political, social and economic trends, guiding and facilitating the delivery of UNFPA’s programme/project related to gender equality and women’s empowerment in the Philippines, especially prevention of and response to gender-based violence. You will closely collaborate with other units of the UNFPA Country Office (CO) National Strategy Execution (NSE), Strategy Development and Branding (SDB), Mindanao Strategy Execution (MSE) and Operations Support (OS) Teams.
