Air Philippines Corp. gets another 25-year franchise

MANILA, Philippines — Air Philippines Corp. got another 25-year franchise when the bill for its renewal lapsed into law on April 11 without being vetoed or signed by President Rodrigo Duterte.
Reporters were sent a PDF copy of the new law — Republic Act No. 11682 — on Tuesday.
Air Philippines Corp. is “doing business under name and style of Airphil Express, PAL Express, and Philippine Airlines.”
The act will be effective 15 days after publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
