GMA Network Inc. continued its momentum after growing its net income by 26 percent to P7.57 billion last year, driven by robust revenues from advertising and production.

The publicly listed broadcast network booked the double-digit growth a year after its net income surged by 127 percent to P6 billion in 2020 at the height of the pandemic.

In a regulatory filing on Tuesday, GMA noted its revenues improved by 16 percent to P22.45 billion last year from P19.34 billion in 2020.

In fact, this subsidiary’s capitalization was increased to P1 billion from an initial of P100 million for future investments. Gozon earlier said they had invested in “one or two” startups already.

Apart from this, Gozon said the network would keep on investing in content production, talent management and development and digital TV.
