BPI Century Tokyo appoints new Chairman and new President

BPI Century Tokyo Lease & Finance Corporation and its subsidiary BPI Century Tokyo Rental Corporation, a joint venture between the Bank of the Philippine Islands and Tokyo Century Corporation, has appointed Toshio Kitamura as Chairman of the board and Satoshi Matsuo as President & CEO.

Tokyo Century Corporation is a leading Japanese leasing and financing company with a network in over 30 countries and regions worldwide. The joint venture combined Tokyo Century’s resources and expertise with BPI’s long-standing stability, growth and banking leadership in the Philippines.

In December 2020, Tokyo Century Corporation took a majority equity stake in BPI Century Tokyo Lease & Finance Corporation as Tokyo Century’s commitment in making BPI Century Tokyo the leading rental solutions company in the country.

Toshio Kitamura is Managing Executive Officer and President of International Business Development & International Business at Tokyo Century Corporation. He was formerly with Mizuho Bank Ltd. (The Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank Ltd.) and The CIT Group Inc. prior to joining Century Tokyo Leasing Corporation in 2013 as General Manager for East Asia and ASEAN, and is Vice Chairman of CSI Leasing.

Satoshi Matsuo has extensive experience in the financial services industry. He was formerly with Mizuho Bank, Ltd. (The Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank, Ltd.) for more than 20 years prior to joining Century Tokyo Leasing Corporation in 2013 as Manager of Global Business, including assignments in the Philippines and Indonesia.
