Electronics manufacturer Integrated Micro-Electronics Inc. (IMI) has installed the first integrated electric vehicle (EV) charging for the Ayala group at Ayala the 30th Mall in Pasig.

This is part of the Ayala group’s commitment to achieve “net zero” greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, IMI disclosed to the Philippine Stock Exchange on Tuesday.

IMI said it was taking the lead in bringing the EV chargers of TGOOD LINCHR, the world’s largest EV charging infrastructure provider, to the Philippines.

“We have been part of this ecosystem on a global basis; and now that we are contributing locally, we are all the more proud to be deeply involved this major disruption here in our country,” said Arthur Tan, CEO of IMI. “We hope to be a catalyst for technology that drives carbon neutrality.”

This net zero midcentury goal of the global community seeks to completely negate the amount of greenhouse gases produced by human activity, such as by building energy-efficient structures, as well as reducing and recycling waste, doing large-scale reforestation and shifting to clean energy.

The newly installed charging station at Ayala the 30th is a collaboration among IMI, Ayala Land, TGOOD, GREENSTRUM and Global Electric Transport.

IMI is among the leading global technology and manufacturing solutions expert in the world. It ranks 21st in the list of top electronic manufacturing service (EMS) providers in the world, according to trade publication Manufacturing Market Insider, based on 2020 revenues. In the automotive market, IMI remains the sixth largest EMS provider in the world, based on a ranking made by New Venture Research.

IMI specializes in reliable and quality electronics for long product life cycle segments such as automotive and industrial electronics.
