Asticom named ‘Employer of Choice’ in 2021 HRD Asia Awards
Globe’s shared services company Asticom Technology, Inc. was recently named “Employer of Choice” in the HRD Asia Awards 2021 for enterprises with over 1,000 employees.
The Asticom Group was the only Philippine company that received such recognition for the highly-coveted category. Winners were determined based on assessments of a company’s exemplary leadership, employee engagement, communication, and benefits.
The annual HRD Awards Asia has been recognized as one of the region’s leading independent awards for the HR profession. It is brought by Key Media, the organizers of the 18th annual Australian HR Awards and the 8th annual Canadian HR Awards, which celebrate the best HR teams, individuals, and employers.
“In our line of work, we recognize that our successes are determined by our people, as much as our leaders. This award is not only a testament to that, but also a reminder for how we will continue building a positive work culture for our people. With their support, we make things possible,” said Mharicar Castillo-Reyes, Asticom President and CEO.

Likewise, the company’s Physical and Wellness Support Program gave employees assistance for their physical and mental well-being. This included PPEs, RT-PCR testing, webinars on mental health and physical wellness, as well as career improvement via online learning and training sessions.
The establishment of such measures early on in the pandemic reflected the importance of having a dynamic and compassionate approach toward caring for one’s workforce.
Castillo-Reyes added, “This pandemic may have tested us, but it has also proven Asticom’s foresight and commitment to its employees, and how we have underscored the importance of digital readiness, not only for our clients, but also for our own.”
Asticom has conducted multiple employee surveys throughout the ongoing health crisis and consistently received positive responses. Results showed that there was a consensus on happiness and commitment among Asticom’s people across all aspects of the enterprise.
As the country slowly opens up, Asticom is committed to its mission of improving people’s lives and empowering its people with programs that foster a workplace culture that creates equal opportunities for everyone.
