Augusto 1055’s Rustic Christmas Tree
Christmas has begun at Discovery Shores Boracay which officially commenced its festive season celebration with a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. I had the opportunity to light the resort’s 18-ft Christmas tree together with hotel manager Erwin Lopez. Located just a few steps from Boracay’s famous White Beach, the tree is adorned with ornaments that showcase the multiple shades and hues of the sea.
As soon as the symbolic switch was turned on, Christmas lights illuminated Discovery Shores’ lobby as well. Everyone present were then serenaded with a medley of Christmas carols by the Boracay ATI Choir.

The resort’s theme this year is “Love, Christmas.” It puts emphasis on love in all forms—love for family, love for life, love for big and small moments, love for friends, love for colleagues, love for the community, love for guests, love for country, love of food and love for nature.
