Internet provider Converge Information and Communications Technology Solutions Inc. has rolled out what is touted to be the “most affordable” high-speed internet packages in the local market to date.
As its subscriber base hit the 1.5-million mark, Converge announced an overhaul of its fiber-to-home “FiberX” plans in order to offer much higher internet speed at prices much lower than the offering of its peers.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange on Tuesday, Converge said three new FiberX plans would be rolled out, starting with Plan P1,500 for 50 megabits per second with an exclusive add-on of 10 mbps for P99. Another plan is worth P2,500 for 300 mbps while the third is worth P3,500 for 800 mbps.
Previously, 25-mbps plan was valued at P1,500 while 200-mbps plan was P3,500. Upon hitting the 1-million subscriber mark last year, Converge upgraded its 25 mbps subscribers to 35 mbps for free.
With the latest offerings, Converge said it was now “unmatched in the Philippine telecommunications industry as the most affordable internet plan.”
“Here in Converge, we continue to defy the status quo and bring the Philippines on the global map by working towards becoming the market leader in the high-speed fixed broadband market,” Converge chief executive officer Dennis Anthony Uy said.
