Transportify expands to VisMin via Interisland Trucking and Cebu launch
Transportify, an on-demand delivery and trucking app, is taking major steps to expand nationwide. First, the company opened interisland trucking service from anywhere in Luzon and Cebu to VisMin. Second, the company launched its standard on-demand deliveries in Cebu island. According to the company’s deputy country director, Noel Abelardo, “Transportify plans to achieve national coverage in the medium term and these two service expansions are key steps to accomplishing that.”
Interisland trucking service is already a competitive market but Transportify aims to take it to the next level by offering technology and superior service at competitive prices. Abelardo states that “Transportify will differentiate itself through technology. When booking interisland trucking, customers will experience real-time GPS tracking, 24/7 customer support, and instant price quotes as standard service for all customers, big and small. And, to make things more compelling, Transportify is able to offer these lower prices because the company already has thousands of trucking partners operating in the app who are eager to take the interisland bookings because the repeat delivery business they get from the app is a better and more reliable source of income for them compared to charging a high price for a one-time trip with a one-time customer.”
With Transportify already available and widely used throughout Luzon, the next frontier is Cebu. The company launched its on-demand delivery service in Cebu in late August 2021 and has gained early popularity with companies delivering work-from-home equipment, basic necessities, construction materials, furniture and appliances. This recent launch also allows Transportify to offer interisland trucking from Cebu to neighboring islands in the Visayas such as Negros, Panay, Leyte and Samar.
