CEMEX Holdings Philippines (CHP) continues its commitment to provide quality products and services as its Solid Cement in Antipolo City and APO Cement in Cebu receive an International Organization for Standardization/ International Electrotechnical Commission or ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation from the National Association of Testing and Authorities (NATA) of Australia.
The only ISO/IEC 17025 NATA accredited laboratories in the Philippines, Solid Cement and APO Cement strongly demonstrate that they have quality management systems to proficiently produce precise and accurate tests, and calibration data and results. The accreditation also shows CEMEX’s staff are skilled, equipment is well-maintained, and processes are systematized.
Keeping its focus on sustainability and efficiency, CEMEX strives to keep its laboratories proficient and compliant to the highest guidelines and processes. The ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation ensures the traceability of measurements and calibrations of the APO and Solid plant laboratories.
“Our newly accredited laboratories are key foundations that provide the highest quality products to our customers which enables us to continue building a better future for the Philippines,” said CEMEX Holdings Philippines President and CEO Ignacio Mijares.
CEMEX Philippines’ Solid and APO laboratories continue to be the only cement laboratories in the country to receive the ISO/IEC 17025 (General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories) from the National Association of Testing and Authorities (NATA) of Australia, considered the primary international standard for laboratory competence and quality.
