The Dutch Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (DCCP), in association with NLinBusiness and sponsored by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, has promoted opportunities in the Philippines through its Doing Business Roadshow.

Through five subsequent sessions between May 18 and June 3, DCCP introduced businesses in the Netherlands to the various economic and business opportunities that the Philippines may offer to them.

The roadshow sessions also covered industry-specific angles in which Dutch businesses have excelled across the globe, including agriculture and food, maritime and logistics, circular economy, and IT and technology. The roadshow attracted over 200 participants combining Dutch business-representatives and entrepreneurs, the Philippine business community, as well as other stakeholders.

The DCCP roadshow was supported by the Embassy of the Philippines in the Netherlands, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Philippines, the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC)-Brussels, and various Dutch cluster and business organizations, including the Philippine-Netherlands Business Council in the Netherlands.

The opening session on May 18 also coincided with the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Netherlands and the Philippines, which was held on May 17.

The Netherlands has consistently ranked within the top five of BOI-approved investments in the Philippines throughout the past five years, and attributed 6.1 percent of total FDI in the Philippines for 2020. The Netherlands is also one of the largest European trade partners for the Philippines – ranking second for export to the European Union, and third for imports.

Several Dutch businesses have been successful in doing business in the Philippines, covering the fields of agriculture, food manufacturing, land reclamation, water-management, banking and finance, manning, (renewable) energy, and BPO.

DCCP represents the Dutch-Philippine business community in the Philippines. Catering to over 100 members since its founding in 2018, the Chamber identifies and stimulates trade and investment opportunities, and assists its members in doing business in the Philippines.
