Project Rebound will tackle evolving trends in the webinar next week.

The COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting lockdowns to contain it have devastated the country’s economy. But even then, there are reasons to be optimistic that the worst is over and that the Philippines can look forward to much better times ahead.

To help Filipinos navigate through the crisis, the Philippine Daily Inquirer, the other members of the Inquirer Group of Companies as well as partners in the public and private sectors, embarked on the Project Rebound advocacy campaign.

Platforms

The campaign that involves all of the formidable platforms of the Inquirer Group seeks to provide Filipinos with news, stories and insights that they can use to make informed decisions.

Since it officially kicked off in March this year, with the focus on Recovery, Project Rebound has already covered Tourism and MSMEs, to be followed this month with Evolving Trends in the corporate sector.

Other  topics to be covered include logistics, education, sustainability, agriculture and financial technology.

Mission

Project Rebound has won the support of like-minded organizations, institutions and corporations who are one in the mission to help the Philippines get back quickly on the growth path.

Among Project Rebound’s growing list of partners is Golden Arches Development Corp., franchise holder of McDonald’s in the Philippines, which is excited to be part of the initiative to share how it has been able to adapt to this “next normal” by leveraging on emerging trends coupled with its people-centric approach.

“Having invested in growing our McDelivery and Drive-Thru services before the pandemic allowed us to be better equipped to respond to today’s consumers. This is enabled by putting the safety and well-being of our people first with M Safe as well as doing our part in serving communities that needed us the most with the McDonald’s Kindness Kitchen which we introduced last year,” said Adi Timbol-Hernandez, Corporate communications senior manager of McDonald’s Philippines.

Another partner is Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines Inc. (CCBPI), which joined the Project Rebound campaign in recognition of the private sector’s role to work with the government to revive the local economy in these challenging times.

“We at CCBPI continue to champion our People First philosophy, which centers around ensuring job security and the total well-being of our associates and their families, as well as prioritizing the needs of the communities we serve nationwide,” the company said.

As Project Rebound continues, more corporations and partners are expected to join in the effort to help Filipinos retool, recover and eventually rebound from this unprecedented crisis.
