Adding a touch of glam to home dining
Staying at home for extended periods of time, we find ourselves constantly thinking of what to do with our living spaces. Whether it’s adding more storage to maximize the limited space (or hide our clutter) or sprucing up the house with new decor, home improvement never stops—especially at a time when it feels like it’s all we can do, given the threat of a deadly virus still lurking around.
While restaurants have resumed dine-in services, many of us are still wary to actually eat out for fear of COVID-19. There can be no denying though that we’re not getting weary of always eating at home. Mealtimes at home need not look or feel boring and plain. We scrolled through our Instagram feeds for some interesting and some practical pieces one can add to your dining space to switch things up a bit.

Make dinners feel fancier with Spencers Concept’s Theo serving plate (P760). Present your home-cooked steak on the solid slate slab set on a bamboo serving plate. It also makes for a really nice charcuterie board. It comes in rectangle (38 cm) and oblong (41 cm).
Placemats for the nature-lovers

Plantitos, plantitas and beach lovers would probably have a hard time resisting these nature-inspired place mats from Spencers Concept. Love monsteras? We won’t be surprised if you’d snap up several pieces of Luna (P190 per piece). Meanwhile, the banana leaf-shaped Nana (P380) will surely make a fun conversation piece at the dining table. We dare you resist having a boodle fight right on this! Or you can make lunches feel like you’re by the beach. All that’s left to do is put on that Beach Vibes or Nature Sounds playlist on Spotify while you eat.

Tidy table tops

It’s probably safe to assume that the dining table is one of the most used surfaces of the house since the lockdowns were implemented last year. Outside of mealtimes, it has become everybody’s workstation, school desk and even craft table. Free up space on your dining table with the two-tier clear revolving tray (P1,150) from The Pennyworth Shop. It can also hold your canned beverages, still saving you from a cluttered dining space.
Warm and cozy
