Top Indian firms to present investment plans for PH at PCCI forum

MANILA, Philippines—Indian companies will present on Thursday (Feb. 18) their investment interests in the Philippines, particularly in major infrastructure projects, according to the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI).

The PCCI said in a statement that it has partnered with New Delhi-based Chamber of India Industries (CII) to hold an online investment forum on Feb. 18 from 1 to 3 pm. It did not expound on the potential projects.

Top-billing the forum are Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez and Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade who will lead the Philippine presentors. Projects in the transport sector will highlight the forum, PCCI said.

Indian Ambassador in Manila Shambhu Kumaran and Philippine Ambassador Ramon Bagatsing Jr. will likewise present the opportunities for expanding economic ties between the two countries.

Top Indian companies are set to present their investment interests and capabilities, including Adani Infrastructure, GMR Group, Larsen and Toubro Limited, IRCON International Limited, Rail India Technical and Economic Service, and Shapoorji Pallonji Infrastructure Capital Company.
