Globe Telecom bagged a total of seven nominations in the PANAta Awards 2020 for five meaningful campaigns that not only displayed creativity but also compassion and commitment to the consumers and the nation before and during the pandemic.

PANAta Awards is the premier annual recognition program for effective marketing communication materials of the Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA). This year’s PANAta theme Pandayon is a combination of the Visayan term “padayon” meaning to continue and the Tagalog “panday” meaning to craft or to mold. Together it symbolizes the unwavering determination of creating a masterpiece, despite all odds.

Globe was nominated in the following categories:  Globe Future Makers 2019 – Excellence in Customer Empowerment; OneGlobe Vs COVID – Gawad Pandayon (Authenticity); Globe myBusiness Saludo SMEs – Gawad Pandayon (Authenticity), Gawad Pandayon (Courage) and Gawad Pandayon (Creative Effectiveness); Globe Rewards Donation Drive – Gawad Pandayon (Authenticity); and #StartANewDay Mental Health Campaign – Gawad Pandayon (Courage).

“Globe is proud to be recognized for helping our fellow Filipinos and the country as we continue to battle this virus and adjust to the new normal.  Through these campaigns, we hope that we were able to create impact especially to those who need assistance during these extraordinary times,” said Yoly Crisanto, Globe Chief Sustainability Officer and SVP for Corporate Communications.

With innovation at its core, Globe launched the Globe Future Makers (GFM) program to seek and recognize startups with the  most innovative technology solutions dedicated on solving social issues and provide them with support to scale up such as connectivity assistance, exposure to international business pitches mentorship, and eventual integration within the Globe ecosystem.

Aside from GFM, the rest of the shortlisted entries focused on the company’s efforts since the time the enhanced community quarantine was announced by the government over seven months ago.

Recognizing the essential role of connectivity in this unprecedented crisis, Globe immediately mobilized all facets of its business and is still continuing to do so to respond to the needs of the Filipinos, both individuals and enterprises.  Products and services were quickly re-engineered, and programs and measures were mounted to empower everyone to fight from the safety of their homes while extending support to those in the frontline.

Globe also took into account the importance of mental health and provided a way for people to cope with anxiety, depression, and other mental illnesses as well as to seek professional help, if necessary

The winners will be announced during a digital ceremony on December 8, 2020.
