Citicore gets new client
Citicore Power Inc. has added Bench Tower at Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig City to its roster of clients, having started delivery of electricity generated from the company’s renewable energy facilities last Oct. 26.
According to Citicore, the homegrown fashion brand’s switch to renewable energy is in line with the numerous green initiatives already implemented in Bench’s headquarters as well as tenants in their 22-storey commercial building.
One of the first green buildings within BGC, Bench Tower is LEED Certified for Gold Standard, incorporating in the design a rain collector for water recycling, virtual garden wall, green pockets and appropriately oriented glass windows that allow natural lighting to penetrate.
LEED or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design is a globally used certification standard for green buildings.
“We thank Bench for entrusting us their power needs and are delighted to partner with them in advocating corporate sustainability” Citicore president Oliver Tan said in a joint statement.
Bryan Lim, Bench vice president for business development, lauded Citicore Power for its “wide menu of energy solutions that address the evolving energy demand of customers and for working with their clients closely to help them reduce electricity cost.”
