Innovators across Asia: Start-Ups, Companies, Investors collaborate at IGNITE 2020 CYBER

IGNITE PH, the largest international innovation conference in the country today, kicked off the ‘IGNITE 2020 CYBER’ – THE SPECIAL ONLINE EDITION last Oct. 13 – 15 and Oct. 20 – 22 with an array of presentations covering topics across the verticals of Health, Education, Finance, E-commerce, and Workplace Innovation.

IGNITE PH, a conference in the Philippines that has grown into a regional powerhouse today, successfully held a six-day innovation, technology, and business networking online event to support the startup and innovation community in the Philippines. This event is co-organized by Techshake, dentsu X, and Brainsparks. 

The international gathering of innovators brought together more than 1200  stakeholders from multiple sectors including startup founders, accelerators, and incubators, corporations, international and local investors, as well as important key players in the government ONLINE. Over the course of six days, attendees heard talks from over 42  distinguished speakers from 15 countries.

IGNITE 2020 CYBER was filled with keynotes and panel discussions by thought leaders and industry experts from the region with exciting names like Keith Teare, Founding Shareholder of Techcrunch and US Managing Partner of Accelerated Digital Ventures (USA); Lucia Figar de Lacalle, Chief of Corporate Innovation and Ventures of IE Business School and Chairwoman of IE Rockets (Spain); Kei Shimada, Leader of Digital Maker Lab, IBM (Japan); Bill Reichert, Partner of Pegasus Tech Ventures (USA); Yoriyuki Sugiyama, General Manager, Singapore branch, Tokyo Stock Exchange (Japan); and Jerome Poudevigne, Principal Startup Solutions Architect of Amazon Web Services (Singapore).

This year, as part of IGNITE 2020 CYBER, their Pitch Competition named WILDFIRE was also held online! Startups from all over Asia and across the verticals of Health, Education, Finance, E-commerce, and Workplace Innovation pitched this year. Edukasyon.ph was the winner of the USD 5,000.00 equity-free grand prize.  This Gen Z platform helps students make better-informed decisions in their education, career, and life choices.
