Globe Business Bags Gold Stevie® Awards From the 2020 IBAs
Globe Business won four awards in the 17th Annual International Business Awards® (IBAs), which is scheduled to hold a virtual ceremony on December 1, 2020.
The enterprise arm of Globe Telecom won two Gold Stevie® Awards under IBAs’ Corporate & Community and Branded Entertainment divisions, for its Leadership Innovation Forum and its Project Eagle thematic campaign, respectively.
Globe Business was also given a Silver Stevie® under Brand Experience of the Year category and a Bronze Stevie® Award for its Communications or PR Campaign of the Year, both for the same thematic programs.
“It’s an honor for us to be chosen out of the thousands of nominations from various organizations worldwide,” shared Raymond Policarpio, Vice President for Product Management and Marketing, Globe Business. “We take digital transformation to heart. In everything we do at Globe, we ensure that the projects we lead remain relevant to what our customers need, anchored to helping them make a positive impact, and focused on creating a better future wherein they can brave any adversity with the right technologies and partners.”
The multi-award-winning brand held its Leadership Innovation Forum, popularly known as Lead-In, back in October 2019. The event, which harped on Project Eagle—the Globe Business thematic campaign, centered around the theme Catalyst: Igniting Your Influence—gathered over 500 top business executives from various industries across the country. Enterprise catalysts and influential thought leaders such as Benjamin Yap (Unilever Philippines Chairman and CEO), Jaime Augusto Zobel De Ayala (Ayala Corporation Chairman and CEO), and keynote speaker Kate Krukiel (Entrepreneur and Former Microsoft Global Director for Strategic Partnerships) shared industry best practices and insights during the forum.
Lead-In 2019 aimed to inspire enterprise leaders to use their influence in creating a positive impact that transcends their organizations. The event emphasized on catalyzing change through promoting digital transformation, creating a purpose-led and future-fit culture, and tackling global problems through business collaborations.
The International Business Awards® are the world’s premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide—public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small—are eligible to submit nominations. The 2020 IBAs received entries from organizations in 63 nations and territories.
Stevie Award® winners were determined by the average scores of more than 250 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process from July through early September.
“Despite the unprecedented impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on organizations and working people worldwide, the number and quality of nominations we received in this year’s International Business Awards attests to the continued outstanding performance of many organizations. The commitment we’ve seen through these nominations to maintaining the success, health, and safety of employees, customers, and communities is truly impressive,” said Stevie® Awards president Maggie Gallagher.
Apart from IBA, Globe also received distinctions from global business and consulting firm, Frost & Sullivan. The telecom company, through Globe Business, was declared the recipient of 2020 Philippines Data Center Service Provider of the Year and 2020 Philippines IoT Service Provider of the Year.
