Globe presents FOREFRONT: The 2020 National Conference on Digital Learning
The shift from traditional face-to-face classes to online distance learning has revealed the gaps in our education system that affect both learners and educators. However, it also highlighted the dedication of teachers to make sure learning continues for every student despite the crisis. With the help of the right technology and support system, this goal can be achieved easier and faster.
As a way to celebrate these hardworking individuals and contribute to knowledge sharing in education, Globe is holding Forefront: The 2020 National Conference on Digital Learning on October 5, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This is to be livestreamed on the Globe website at www.globe.com.ph .
Focused on reshaping Philippine education through digital technologies and learning methodologies, educators, and institutions from all over the country can come together at Forefront to exchange views on the new modalities of remote teaching and learning. Participants from K-12 and tertiary institutions are also encouraged to join dialogues on learning across different academic disciplines and geographic areas.
On the day of the event, attendees will be grouped into breakout rooms and will get to attend parallel sessions to listen to speakers coming from various academic disciplines. The British Council’s English for Education Systems Lead Graham Stanley, will expound about strategies for digital learning and teaching, and will share global survey data from the British Council and other research groups, as the basis to judge what has worked, and what is still needed for effective distance learning and teaching.
