Laban Lang! (Carry On!)
That is the message of the new video launched to pay tribute to the important role and noble duty of teachers. It is an initiative of AKAP Guro, a program of Unilab Inc. together with (Ibuprofen + Paracetamol) Alaxan FR, a popular brand of medicine that relieves different kinds of body pains. The group aims to recognize and highlight the notable sacrifices of teachers in time for the culmination of the celebration of National Teachers Month on October 5.
In the said video, action photos of teachers taken from various schools in different parts of the country are interspersed with the inspiring lyrics of the original song “Laban Lang”. The scenes depict the dedication of teachers in serving their students such as going to great lengths to reach far-flung areas to the extent of crossing rivers and wading through floods. Some teachers can be seen conducting classes in the mountains, by the sea and in other makeshift setting outdoors.
We consider teachers as modern-day warriors who soldier on to fight any battles, notwithstanding the threat of COVID-19, to perform their duties no matter what. The ongoing pandemic has brought about a major change in the education system. The teachers, now more than ever, are working very hard to step up to the challenges of blended learning, among others. They exemplify the virtues of “husay at malasakit” (excellence and genuine concern) for others and for the country.
National Teachers Month is celebrated every year from September 5 to October 5. This year’s theme is “Gurong Filipino para sa Batang Filipino,” [Filipino Teacher for the Filipino Child] which emphasizes the crucial role and dedication of teachers in the delivery of education to Filipino students amidst the pandemic.
(Ibuprofen + Paracetamol) Alaxan FR is a brand of medicine from Filipino company Unilab, Inc. (Ibuprofen + Paracetamol) Alaxan FR salutes our dear teachers, our modern-day warriors, who bravely face life’s daily challenges.
