Widescope to forefront OPM across the globe via partnership deal with The Orchard

To further broaden its musical horizons and expand its global reach, Widescope Entertainment recently signed a partnership deal with distribution giant, The Orchard. 

As the industry’s leading independent distributor and label services company, The Orchard is known for its strong reach across digital and physical retailers worldwide. The company is composed of digital natives specialized in marketing, advertising, sync licensing, video monetization, performance rights services and more. In partnering with The Orchard, artists and labels are empowered to connect with fans across the globe.

Widescope President Vic de Vera shares a similar view. “This partnership of our Entertainment arm with The Orchard will bring us further into attaining our shared vision of promoting the industry we all love and showcasing Original Pilipino Music around the globe. We are thrilled to work with the biggest music aggregator that has core competencies beyond what we believe will deliver the best result for our music business worldwide,” de Vera exclaimed.

EJ Sabandal, Vice President for Finance of WE, pointed out that The Orchard is a no-brainer as it is “the only distributor to top both list as preferred  ‘+Partner’ status at Apple Music and preferred label distributor in Spotify.” 

“I believe this will empower Widescope Entertainment’s label and upcoming artists to connect with fans across the globe,” Sabandal further noted. 

For his part, Widescope Music & Entertainment Director Neil Gregorio is simply looking forward for both companies “to rock on and seamlessly share our music to the world.”
