The City Government of Isabela with the help of Mayor Sitti Turabin-Hattam officially inked a Memorandum of Agreement with M Lhuillier represented by Basilan area manager Rodelyn Falcasantos with other representatives namely Riva Buenbrazo and Mary Cris Arbolado on September 9, 2020. The remittance center and Isabela’s joint initiative targets impoverished residents of Basilan.
A total of 1,375 beneficiaries of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa ating Displaced/Disadvantaged (Tupad) Workers Program will receive insurance coverage. Tupad in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment is a cash for work program that employs indigents for 10 days in labor works such as vegetable planting, clean and green activities, sanitation and disinfection, etc. to provide poverty-stricken individuals with a source of income.
