Vista Land posts record sales

On track to meeting ’11 goal

Leading housing developer Vista Land & Lifescapes has sold 5,000 housing units in the first four months, a performance that puts the property firm on track to hitting its P24-billion sales target for the year.

In a statement, Vista Land said the sales consisted mostly of house and lot packages, with its flagship brand Camella accounting for 70 percent of sales.

The number of units sold by Vista Land from January to April reflected a still-robust property market as it reached more than half of the 9,500 units sold by the company for the whole of 2010, when sales take-up amounted to P20 billion.

The Camella Homes brand offers housing units worth P3.5 million and below. Vista Land’s four other brands are Brittany, Crown Asia, Communities Philippines (which also sells Camella Homes in the provinces) and Vista Residences, which accounted for the remaining 30 percent of revenues.

“Sales take-up for our house and lot products shows we are treading in the right direction in hitting the P24-billion target for the year,” Vista Land chief finance office Paolo Villar said.

Vista Land president Benjamarie Serrano said the figures showed that Vista Land was the “clear leader in the industry, from the affordable to the middle-income sections of the house and lot segment.”

She noted that Vista Land was outselling all six other listed industry players by posting a sales level double that of the six rival developers combined.

“This continuous, positive trend on the sales of Camella house and lot for a number of years shows preference for Vista Land’s Camella and its dominance over any other brands or developer in the housing category,” said Serrano.

She added: “It is clear to us that house and lot [units are] still the favored pick over condominiums, townhomes and lot-only options.”

Taking note of her company’s large geographical reach, Serrano said its projects were now available in 21 provinces and 48 cities and municipalities.
